How to Brew C&N TEA: Hot, Iced, or Cold Brew
Share
One sachet, three ways. Whichever you choose, you'll watch real petals and fruit do the work — because there's nothing else in there.
Every C&N TEA pyramid sachet holds whole-leaf black tea, real flower petals, and real freeze-dried fruit — never dust, never artificial fillers. That matters for flavor, but it also means brewing is wonderfully forgiving: whole ingredients release their character slowly and evenly, so it's hard to get a bad cup. Here are the three ways we drink it.
1. Hot Brew — the classic ritual

The fastest way to your afternoon.
- Bring fresh water to about 200°F (just off the boil — if you don't have a thermometer, boil the kettle and wait 30 seconds).
- Drop one sachet into 8 oz of water.
- Steep 3–5 minutes. Three minutes for a brighter, lighter cup; five for a fuller, bolder one.
- Lift the sachet out and let it drain — don't squeeze it, which can push tannic bitterness into the cup.
The same sachet happily gives a second steep: add one extra minute and you'll get a softer, rounder cup.
Tip: Brew it in a glass mug at least once. Watching the rose petals and strawberry pieces unfurl is half the point.
2. Iced Tea — hot brew, flash chill

For when you want iced tea now, not eight hours from now.
- Brew hot as above, but use only 4 oz of water — a concentrated half-cup.
- Steep 5 minutes for extra strength.
- Remove the sachet and pour the concentrate straight over a full glass of ice.
- Stir, and it's ready.
The double-strength brew stands up to the melting ice, so the flavor lands exactly where it should. Lychee shines here — the fruit's natural sweetness gets even brighter cold.
3. Cold Brew — the overnight magic trick

The smoothest, sweetest, gentlest version of the cup, and it makes itself while you sleep.
- Drop one sachet into 12–16 oz of cold or room-temperature water.
- Cover and refrigerate for 6–8 hours (overnight is perfect).
- Remove the sachet, pour, and enjoy — over ice or straight from the fridge.
Cold water extracts flavor slowly and leaves most of the tannins behind, so cold brew tastes naturally sweeter and silkier than hot tea, with zero added sugar. It also holds beautifully: cold-brewed C&N TEA keeps in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Tip: Make two bottles at once. Future-you, reaching into the fridge tomorrow afternoon, says thank you.
Quick reference
| Method | Water | Temp | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hot | 8 oz | ~200°F | 3–5 min |
| Iced (flash chill) | 4 oz + full glass of ice | ~200°F | 5 min |
| Cold brew | 12–16 oz | Cold | 6–8 hrs in fridge |
What about our other teas?
- Herbal Blends (caffeine-free) love the same three methods — for hot brewing, use fully boiling water and steep 5 minutes, since flowers and botanicals are sturdier than tea leaf.
- Loose-leaf green and jasmine teas prefer cooler water: 175–185°F, 2–3 minutes, about 1 teaspoon per 8 oz. Cold brew works beautifully for these too — 4–6 hours is plenty.
However you brew it, that's the whole method: real ingredients, water, and a few unhurried minutes. Take your afternoon back.
